About Me
I am a multimedia artist based in Islamabad. I graduated from NUST with a Major in Film Production. Art became a portal to wonders unfathomable for me very early on. The mere act of self-expression would flow with the paint on my brush, the click of my camera, and the flush of red on the brick wall at a set. After graduation, I joined Media Matters for Democracy to work on their Digital Rights and Internet Governance program.
At MMfD, I have worked on projects very close to my heart. I planned and strategised the campaign for Children’s Media Information Literacy. I Ideated and designed a Digital Campaign called #KinderInternet, which advocates against online hate speech. More recently, I led the #ChallengingHate campaign, as a part of which we arranged a Hackathon to find tech-based solutions to online hate. I have also worked on several Vodcast series, including Digital Rights 101, The Digital Cauldron, and This Week in Digital Rights, all of which I produced, moderated and edited. In addition, I work as a trainer and facilitator on trainings, workshops, and events with MMfD.
Currently, I am associated with BondheShams, a global water charity, as Head of Social and Digital Creation. I am primarily working on brand and identity building, as well as media planning and campaign strategies.
